About Joel Arberman:
Mr. Arberman played a
key role in nine financing transactions that provided more
than $180 million of investment capital. While at Yorkton,
he authored the Canadian Internet Handbook, a
comprehensive document describing the Internet and its
business opportunities. In his first year as a sell-side
analyst, Mr. Arberman was ranked by institutional investors
as one of the top technology analysts in Canada.
In 1997, Mr. Arberman started an independent business and
corporate finance consulting firm. The company provided
services to a variety of clients, including: venture capital
and investment-banking firms, and companies involved in
Internet communications software, middleware software
development, electronic commerce, database marketing and
application software development.
The range of consulting services included: structuring an
asset spin-off; developing comprehensive business plans, financial
modeling, developing sales and marketing strategies, selecting and
recruiting management and board members, negotiating seed-capital
financing, negotiating mergers and acquisitions, and providing
assistance with public offerings.
